Re: Weber Carb Pressure Reg on Gas Line?

A 32/36 DGEV Weber Carb has a lower fuel pressure requirement than what is generated by the fuel pump on a stock 258 Jeep engine. The higher fuel pressure is not supposed to be good for that model carb. That said, people are using the carb without a fuel pressure regulator. I do use a fuel pressure regulator on my Weber.

What kind of changes did you notice with the regulator and what pressure did you set it.

Re: Weber Carb Pressure Reg on Gas Line?

I run it at 4.5 on the street. Around 1 or 1.5 off road. Off Road it seemed to help with off camber situations. I got a smoother running engine off road with the lower regulator pressure. These are subjective differences, your results may vary.... I can't say how it would do without the regulator. I installed the carb, added the regulator, switched to an HEI, changed out the HEI springs and the carb's jetting in one series of small projects.
