methods to beef a rear d60

I am trying to decide on a rear axle, and I want to know some ways a d60 can be beefed. I am going to run 456 with a spool. I will also be using new shafts most likely.

Why?? You will never break it in a Jeep with 33s

Dont be so sure,But that is not the issue. I will not be running the 33's for long.A soon as I finish building my axles,There will be a set of 38's in their place, and I dont like the idea of buying a d60 if the only advantage I am going to have is ring gear diameter.

As long as you are running the 35 spline 1.5" shafts you will have no problems(or very rare)with 40" tires and even larger.

I dunno for sure. I have seen the Cab and Chassis 14 with ratios from 4.10, 4.56, and 4.88. I dont know who, what, or how they were ordered from the factory, just a hit and miss I think.
