help me find my bellhousing

ok i have this killer 350 sitting in my garage next to an sm420. for the life of me i cant find a bellhousing to mate them. ive called every junkyard in 2 counties and noone will separate a bellhousing from a tranny. from what i understand it needs to be from a 60s or early 70's gm car. at least thats what 1/2 the people i talk to say. it definatly needs to be manual clutch instead of hydrolic. does anyone have one or know where i can get one? please.

Is it ok to yell "movie" in a crowded fire house?

Re: help me find my bellhousing

I'm using an old cast iron chevy truck bellhousing for my SBC to SM-420. Direct bolt on as per factory design. Look for a bellhousing for a 1955-1967 Chevy pickup. http://www.car-part.com shows plenty of them available at various boneyards from $25-$85 (I searched 67 chev pickup, transmission bellhousing only)
