Clutch throw length

I have a '83 CJ-7 and the clutch does not engage until the last few inches. The clutch itself seems to be in good shape and does not slip, it just engages very late. I am on the shorter side of average and have to tip toe it to ensure it is fully engaged. Is there a simply way to adjust when the clutch engages?

Re: Clutch throw length

No. THe only adjustment you have is pedal free play, you can mess with that a litle to see if it helps. There should be about an inch of free play.
