Yokohama Geolander M/T?????

How is this tire? It looks like pretty killer tread pattern to me, looks fairly aggressive? What do you think?
compare it to the contritrac mud: tread life, handling on road, gas milage, off road ability?
what do you think?
anyone ever used them or seen them on the trail?
anything helps
thanks

Re: Yokohama Geolander M/T?????

I LOVE my Geolander M/T's!! They're quiet on the highway, much cheaper than other brand name mud tires, and are awesome off-road!! They wear like a typical mud tire, but handle well, brake well, and you don't have to spin the crap out of them to shed mud, they do that pretty efficiently. And, they do look cool!

Tony

We sell a lot of them ! When the first ones came out we had bad wear problems with them but they improved things quite a bit .

Re: Yokohama Geolander M/T?????

I too love mine... I've only got one complaint. Because they're a softer tread compound, they are wearing a bit faster than I'd like...in other words, if you've got a 100 mile commute and are expecting 50K out of the set, you might want to look elsewhere. However, the soft tread means sticky, sticky, sticky.

I'm buying bigger ones when I wear these out. It's the best compliment I can give.

You can trust me with your life, your safety, and your property, but not too many nights in the same room with you.

Re: Yokohama Geolander M/T?????

I know it is not the same tire but, I am getting the A/Ts Tuesday - Thursday, I'll let you know my initial impressions of them. I haven't read much bad about either tire, only things is potential fast tread wear. But I think that pretty much comes with this type of tire.
