Jeep Jamborees on TV(Outdoor Channel) Schedule....

Here is the schedule for a new show on the Outdoor Channel. This show has coverage of last years' Jeep Jamboree events. I don't know if it will be any good or not, but any 4wheelin' action on television is better than none.

Later,

Re: Jeep Jamborees on TV(Outdoor Channel) Schedule....

Well.... a bunch of us watched the first program, which was on Jan. 1st at 1:00 AM. It spotlighted the 2001 Penn's Woods Jeep Jamboree, which a bunch of us had been to. I was pretty dissapointed with the program. 90% of the shots were TJ's and YJ's and Grand Cherokees, there were several flatties there (including me in my 3B) they didn't show any. Plus the only participant that they interviewed was this guy with his shirt off, looking like a total redneck hoopie. Then the last 10 minutes of the show weren't about the Jeep Jamboree it was about local fishing & skeet shooting.

We saw a few people we knew on some quick blips, but they spent like 10 minutes on the *rodeo* part of the JJ, rather than more trail action shots.

I hope they did better justice to the other JJ's.

I think the reason that you don't see older Jeeps on the program is because it's sponsered by Jeep and they want newer jeeps that they have in thier show rooms shown in order to boost sales.

Take care of the pennies and the dollars will take care of themselves.
