Longer Brake lines

My jeep has about 6 inches of lift and the stock lines won't cut it.

Its a 1975 CJ5(SOA) with drum brakes.

Re: Longer Brake lines

I am also looking for longer lines. I have a friend that works at AutoZone and had him check what he had n stock. They had lines that would fit that where up to 19 inches long. If that is not long enough you might be able to conect a couple of lines.

Try this place:

Get hoses here:
http://www.amstreetrod.com/html/speed-flex.html
ends and adapters here:
http://www.amstreetrod.com/html/brakehydraulic.html

Note these are NOT DOT rated, but if you understand what you are doing you can build some very nice race-quality brakelines very affordably, in the length(s) of your choice.

Re: Longer Brake lines

I have a 76 cj5 with drums . I did a springover and needed longer lins.I went to my friendly small town (meaning helpful)NAPA store. He let me in the back room where i opened a bunch of brake hose boxes until i found some that where long enough and had the right ends. The stupid side of me did not permanently record what stock # they were nor the application, but i think they wre like 70-80s ford pickup. AND they were cheap.

Re: Longer Brake lines

someone just did a post on this a couple days ago I believe. I think it was Leve that gave out the part numbers anyway I wrote them down for future use and they are sitting right in front of me still so here you are, I think these are for NAPA. Fronts 20" longer #38286 Rear 7" longer #36537. Hope that helps

Re: Longer Brake lines

Unfortunately those front hose numbers won't work for a drum braked Jeep (front axle). The drum brakes don't use a banjo bolt fitting like discs do.
