weber on 304
will a 32/36 DGEV weber carb work ok on a 304 V8? Also what cfm is the weber, and what is the min. I can work with on the 304?
Thanks for the answers Grady Smith [email protected] |
Re: weber on 304
the 32/36 webers are rated at 300 cfm. the 38's are rated at 400. you could possibly use the 38, but i don't think the 32/36 will be enough carb. there is a formula for figuring how much cfm you need. I have seen it in mags. like Hot Rod and the like. I just can't remember what it is. I would think for a mild 304 the 38 would work. if you wanted you could use a small 4bbl like the holley 390 or a 500 cfm 2bbl.
i run a 32/36 weber on my stock 258 and i really like it. 76 CJ7, 258,Jeep T18, D20 TC, D30 & AMC20. 4" Superlift, 33" SSR's Will trade extra kidney for Jeep parts!! |
