Tereflex Revolving Shackles

Whats the deal with these shackles? Seems like a great idea to me. are they worth the money, and will the really give me the increase in wheel travel like they claim? What kind of change in driveline have people been doing?
Do you all recomend them on a CJ?

Re: Tereflex Revolving Shackles

skip the revolving shackles. yes they will increase travel but they can actually hurt off-road performance in other areas. there has been alot of posts on these in the past. do a search on them and draw your own conclusions.

Re: Tereflex Revolving Shackles

I agree with High5. The reason is that you can not control when the shackles unfold and revolve. This doesn't seem such a bad idea untill you reason out that simple axle droop doesn't do any good unless unsprung weight is applied to the wheel. In most cases, this is not true. With no weight on the wheel the droop is useless unless there's side pressure.

IMHO, though they don't hurt anything, these type of shackles are very high priced for the lack of value they add to the Jeep.
