weber adapter

I'm looking for a weber 32/36 adapter plate and linkage for my 87 258. I've got the carb only, anyone have any of this stuff?

Re: weber adapter

There is no adapter necessary. It bolts directly to the stock manifold if I remember correctly. I run mine directly on top of my Clifford intake.

The only thing you MIGHT need is the plate that has a port for your PCV vent, but any manifold vacuum will do just as well. Mine runs off a T on the PB booster vacuum feed.

On the linkage, I have not seen a good after-market solution to this. Weber has one for like $80, but it's pretty crappy. When I put mine in, we took a piece of flat stock and bent it into a Z shape, hung it off the manifold, and it works just fine. I would be prepared to fab yours.

Do you have a picture of that linkage setup that you could post?

Re: weber adapter

I would double check about the carb bolting directly to the stock manifold for a 258. I know I used a pair of adapter plates to change the Carter BBD to the Weber 32/36 on my '84. The bolt pattern looks different to me...
I can check it tonight.
