NP 208 Mods?

I'm gonna put a 208 in my yj, and I want to know if there are any known mods that I can do to it before I put it in, like twinstick or low gears?

Re: NP 208 Mods?

You don't need to do anything to them, they work great. I have have been very happy with my NP 208. One thing you will need to do however, The drop on the 208 is lower than the D300 case I took out. Make a good solid skid plate for it. My first time out, it got on the case going over a rock ledge. The 208 is aluminum and you need to protect it,

Re: NP 208 Mods?

Oh well, how about clocking it?? Mel is hooking me up with one out of a jtruck. I was looking at drilling new holes in the adapter in my nv 4500 to clock it up higher.

Re: NP 208 Mods?

JR,
I told Mel that I have a 208 you could have,I believe she already talked to you about it.
Just let me know ahead of time so that I can get it up to her place.

Re: NP 208 Mods?

the 208 has the same bolt pattern as the d300 so yes it can be clocked.
