Oh ya, so the newbie at the carb swap gets all the questions. well then.
I got my Carb REbuilt by Ford from my local NAPA. They took my Carter as a core (pleaded ignorance)
It was about $200 CDN and I got $50 odd back for the core.
I asked for a Carb for the 1981 CJ7 with the AMC304.
If they tell you the 81 didn't come with a 304, modify the year (down about 4 or 5) until they give you it.
You need adapters from Summit (or equivalant.) The swap is very stright forward.
I would suggest going manual choke, it's not difficult, but works great in subzero enviroments.
As for hoses and such, mine weren't there.
The ones that were there.. Vacc Advance and PCV, plugged stright into the MC2100.
While your at the auto-place, get a new air-filter housing, and a new fuel filter. The stock ones will most likely not fit.
Then just follow the writeup supplied by Timnb
