Vibration when under load

Help...

I can't seem to determine what the problem is. When I'm giving it some gas at speeds from 35 mph and above, I feel vibration in the Jeep. Not violent, but enough for me to notice.

But, If I'm not on the gas pedal and crusin at any speed, the vibration is gone. Again, I only feel the vibration when I'm steppin on the gas at speeds above 35 mph.

Please help before it gets worse.

If you can't find the road to success, get a JEEP!!!

Re: Vibration when under load

Main vibration sources: unbalanced wheels, u joints, and drive shafts. When was the last time you balanced your tires? If too long, have it done, if the vibration is still there, see if you can grab your rear drive shaft and shake it around. Might be loose, unbalanced, or time to replace the u joints.

Re: Vibration when under load

i just had the same problem i would check all the parts he listed above and the transmition/ transfer casemount bolt or stud what ever you want to call it if its loose tighten it if it wont tighten or is broken (like mine was) go to the jeep dealer and ask for part 1-j5358879 its just the stud and you will need the nuts to put on it. get it off some how and save all the rubber and washers and dont forget how it goes back on.

Re: Vibration when under load

Good call on the tranny mount, forgot about that. One of my XJs has that problem, rattles only under load, which doesn't take much for 2.5 liters of furry!
