5.0 swap update - clutch hookup problems again.

Well it's been like 6 months I've been working on my 5.0HO CJ-7. Finally had it running with a jerry-rigged clutch setup: The ford mustang clutch cable came through the firewall, around a pully mounted behind the dash, and then to the clutch pedal with a turnbuckle. At least it would get me to work. Anyway, with like 100lbs of force to work the thing, the cable decided to explode during a shift. Back to the drawing board.

I ordered a hyd. clutch setup from parts mike on the monsterslayer webpage. Looks great in the box, but no way to mount the slave to the back of the bellhousing. The mustang clutch fork needs to be pushed towards the front of the jeep.

While home for Christmas and surfing the web, I found a place that does mustang hyd. clutch conversions and has the bracket I need. A quick call to parts mike and he said he can make me one just like it. Hopefully next week I'll have it in hand and see if it fits. I'll try to attach a picture of what needs to be done.

Just like my dad's motto: "Nothins easy".
