Re: Having YJ sit for 4 months? What to do?
I'd just hit it with a little Sta-Bil, but 4 months is nothing. Bring pictures with you, the guys there will want to see it and won't believe you.
Wait a minute, scratch that. I forgot. When you get there, they make you take anything civilian and put it in a storage room, so you don't have access to your clothes, pictures, or anthing. Well, they did 15 years ago anyway. It's part of the "break you from your mommy" conditioning. Their philisophy is to break you down, then they'll build you back their way, the right way. I gotta say it works, I saw some pure "momma's boys" go in and men come back out. One guy wasn't even recognized by his parents, he weighed about 280 lbs when he went in and about 150 at graduation, he was motivated through and through, and it paid off.
I think the jeep will be fine for 4 months, if you can close up the air intake you'll be better off, so mice won't build a nest. Also disconnect the battery and chain the steering wheel (if you live in a rough neighborhood).
