Re: YJ ECM\'s

Is this for a 258? Cause there's a JET performance chip for the 4.0's.

Re: YJ ECM\'s

It is for the 4.2 (258). Also, can you some how keep the ECM in Open Loop Operation, because when it clocks out it starts to run bad. Or would this casue harm?

Re: YJ ECM\'s

If you keep it in Open Loop it's running rich, clogging the Cat, and washing down the oil from the cylinders with unburnt, unneeded fuel. IMHO, do the nutter bypass if you can and modify the ignition, but don't run in Open Loop all the time.

Re: YJ ECM\'s

Then my Jeep may be running Lean, because it seems to Run best in open Loop. I am going to do the nutter if there are not any new ECM's you can buy.
