Attn: JEEPN

Jeepn, I was told you may what I need. I am looking for the little part of steel that connects the shift rods to the shift stick on a dana 300??? Also I am comming your way to pick up the 73 brown jeepster in ellsworth. My cell phone is nation wide 314-724-4812. I also have tons of Commandos and parts. I have a problem with my sons 67 jeepster. The rear transfer case bearing and who knows what else burned up while flat towing. I removed the transfer case, and this is what I am not sure about; is it a dana 20? If it is some how they put a dana 300 shifter requiring the whole front face of the transfer case to be changed, or is it a dana 300. It looks identicle to the dana 20. The transmission in front of it is a SM420. The standard dana 20 linkage will not clear it, this is why I am thinking it could be a 20 with just the 300 linkage?? Tell me what you think. My email is [email protected]

Re: Attn: JEEPN

If the tail cone is cast iron, it's a D20, if it's a D300, it'll be aluminum.

Glad to hear you're coming up, it's a nice jeepster. When will you be arriving?

I may or may not have the parts you describe, depending on which one it is.

I've stopped to admire the jeepster a few times myself. Didn't have the $$ though. I grew up with a few just like it. Leaned to drive on one actually. Ours never looked quite that....complete though.

Re: Attn: JEEPN

I have decide against the trip. I am considering another way of transport, however, the price is way up there and they are cautious of the recent weather as I am.
