MC 2100 Donor Vehicle

I know this has been gone over before but my search failed, so here goes

I want to know what are the donor vehicles that would have a MC2100 carb. Going to the Yard this week and I want to pick one up, along with some 78 and newer igniton (per Team rush advise) for the TFI upgrade.

With my luck the chances of the Carb and ignition stuff being on the same truck are null.

in a nutshell {what year/make/engine has the 2100}
{ditto---- ignition stuff for TFI}

thanks

Re: MC 2100 Donor Vehicle

got mine off a 83 f-100 w/ a V6. They came on many different engines, look for the number on the side,I believe you want the one with 1.06 on it for the 258. Look for smaller displacement engines, 302 V8's , and straight and V6's. The ones on 351's and larger have too big of jets for a 258 and are probably 2150's.
Good luck,
-Jeremy

Re: MC 2100 Donor Vehicle

Look for a ford that has a 302 in it or a Jeep vehicle with a 304. Also it must have the 1.08 - not 1.06 stamped on it. Jets will probably be 47's. I found one on a '84 pickup, but never used it. I think they made four sizes of venturies - 1.02 on 289's, 1.08 on 302's, 1.14 on 351's and 1.21 on 460's. All of them will be stamped on the side of the bowl in a little cast circle - can't hardly miss it.

I was going to put on on my CJ, but opted for the 500 CFM Holley 2 barrel instead. I'm really glad I did.

My girlfriend said if I spent one more dime on my Jeep she would leave. Man I'm going to miss her!
