New KJ owner

Howdy all I just thought I would say hi. I bought a KJ today. It is the sport package with the 3.7L v-6. I traded my trail rig, a suzuki Samurai for it. Although it will primarily be a grocery getter I do expect to take it camping and fishing in secluded areas. I would love to see some more pics of different mods you all have done. Anyone find a decent winch bumper yet. That yellow one on the other post is god awfull ugly......

Re: New KJ owner

Shawn, it doesn't look like very many people post on this board.....
so it may be a while before your question is answered....

I went down 10 -15 posts, and it was back in July......

I was wondering what you ended up doing with your samurai... did you trade it in at a dealership?

how much did they screw you over on it?

also, what Yellow one, which posting is it...
thanks

Re: New KJ owner

Cool. You'll like the KJ. Especially since you bought the sport version. The flares take abuse much better than the limiteds painted ones. The yellow bumper is trailreadys. I know of one guy who has one on order and he should have it by the end of this month. A lot of us on another KJ board are waiting to see how it all works out.As far as mods you can see mine in the not parking lot lift pics thread.Basically a 2.5" lift, flares trimmed and fender liners removed in front, all the factory skids plus a rustys tranny skid, 31" tires, yakima roof rack and ORGS nerf bars

Re: New KJ owner

Hey Rich,
I took my 33's off and my GRS1 and threw in a stock x-fer and some bald super swampers. I think I got a pretty fair deal, they gave me 2000 for it, and thats what I wanted for it. I was just going to sell it out right but the dealership made me a good offer and an excellent price for the KJ.
In Janurary I am going to be lookin for a Tracker to start on. Probably swap in a straight axle.......
Hey what are you doing checkin a Jeep Board anyway LOL!

Re: New KJ owner

so what are you going to do with your old xfer case? and the tires?

one of the people here on this board, posted some pictres from RRO's website, on the KJ's sweet picts....

looks like you could beat the crap out of the KJ's..

only thing I would do if I owned one, would be to put wider stance on it, for better stability,, due to me I would want to lift it more than 2.5 inches.. and fit some 33's or better on it...

Re: New KJ owner

well, it seems the wife already GAVE the friggin grs1 to her Dad, and I am trading my 33's to her Dad for his new 31's. The 31's are going to go on the TJ. I will probably just be making asthetic improvments to the KJ, at least until someone other then RRO makes a better lift then a spacer one. The TJ will be gettting a good Teraflex or runbicon express lift in Janurary.......
