Suicide Door hinges.......pics

Hi guys, this in Nathaninwa from the Toy board with a sandrail with a 22RE, also owning a S-10 pickup that is like my streetrod. I was told the other day that Jeep Wagoneer hinges actually pull the door away from the body and would work as Suicide Door hinges.

Anyone have anypics of the hinges? Its just biting at me and wont be able to get to the wrecking yard till thursday.......

Re: Door hinges

O.K. Now you got the doors to open the wrong way, how you going to make them latch and/or lock? Post more pics showing what you do. Looks cool so far.

Re: Door hinges

OK, I did that this weekend. I used the drivers side door latch and striker. Simply cut and bolted in just like in the rear. The GM latch is a dbl catch latch, but since my handles are shaved, the possiblilty of a glitch opening the door is possible. I will either use a dead bolt style auto latch on the interior, or use a second solenoid inside the door/jam area. Have not decided yet.
