66 wagoneer\'s worth

I have access to a 1966 Jeep Wagoneer that is in fairly good condition. It is complete less a battery. The motor ran fine EXCEPT that there was a crack in the exhaust manifold and the owner dissasembled it and that is as far as he went with it. I was going to buy it for the 44 axles and the steering box but the vehicle is in such good condition, I'd hate to part it out. All the lights and badging is complete and clean. So.... What do you guys think it is worth??
Looking for some guidance...

Re: 66 wagoneer\'s worth

buy it for the 44 axles???
is the wag OE or has some later axles been swapped in?

the front axle on a OE 66 wag is a d27. about the same in stamina as ur d30 but harder to get parts for. the rear d44 is of the 2 piece design similar to what post 76 CJs have with the AMC20 rear axle.

Re: 66 wagoneer\'s worth

I was told the axles were both 44's and it has a spring over configuration on the front and some block lift in the rear..??
