68 327 reliablility.....

any problems with this motor?..is it similar to chevs 327? or nothing same?...thx all...paul

The only thing the same is the displacement. And they aren't all that easy to find parts for. Or adapters for that matter.

The Kaiser 327 V-8 was a very good engine in its day...but, alas, like Andy said, it is a dinosaur. I hope yours has a lot of good miles left in it; it's a great looking Jeep. Good Luck with it, Paul. [img]/wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

If you're scrounging for parts for the AMC 327, don't overlook AMC cars like the ambassador,etc. It is a dinosaur but rebuild parts are still available.
