I have been thinking of converting my J10 to LPG. Has anyone done this? Do the AMC mills take well to this? What special mods should I make to the engine, ie CR increase, ect? Any replies will be helpful. Thanks. Dennis W
Re: LPG conversion
I have a friend who is in the LPG business and he used to run it in his '87 3/4 ton Chevy with a 350. He put the motor through a lot of h*ll but it seemed to work pretty good. He ran it on LPG until the 350 was rebuilt. Also, his father ran LPG in his '95 Z71 but the truck didn't run too good with it. Always seemed to smoke, he finally had to revert back to gas. Don't know how it'll work on your AMC motor though. Hope this info will help you Dennis.
