Emergency Drive switch testing ???
I have a 76 Jeep Wagoneer, today I got in it after having it parked for about 10 minutes and the "Emergency Drive" light on the dash came on. The system still works normally and the system is not engaged when the vacuum switch in the glove box is in the off position. I operated it several times to verify this. The emergency drive switch in the glove box must be bad. Is there any way to test this switch to make sure it is bad before I replace it? Thanks, John
Re: Emergency Drive switch testing ???
If the light is on and you're sure you're not in emergency drive, then the wire might be shorting out against the the body or whatever. Check that first.
