Help Fast, Before I buy!

I am new to the whole Jeep thing. I have a 1979 Suzuki LJ80 (which I hate to part with). I have Just run across a 1967 Wagoneer that has all the original equipment. It also has new tires. Engine has just been rebuilt and a new exhuast installed. Has no lift. It has Historic plates and alot of factory new parts. All it needs is piant. The guy wants $2500 for it. Is this to much? I already told him I would buy it. But I really Need advice before I really commit. TIA Porkchop

that price is not out of line..but then...what do u want the 67 for??? u cant buy lift kits from the stores..ud have to custom make somthing like i had to do with my 66. the brakes are pathetic for that size jeep in the first place. thats y i went to 4whl discs. if it does not have the buick v8 it will have the old Nash rambler 327v8 which is a bitch to get parts for..thats y i swapped in a GM 350, r u getting my jist by now?? aside from its historic value and being in great condition. unless u want to keep it AS a classic jeep and not modifly it in any way, ur better off getting a 74-79 wag, as these model years have better axles and brakes....
