Front axle conversion

I was given a 77-78 wagoneer dana 44 front axle with 3.54's and full time hubs and 6 bolt lug pattern. Can this be changed over to part time w/lockouts and to a 5 on 5 1/2 bolt pattern and what axles can I use from the local U-Pull for the swap? I'll be shortening the drivers side to fit under my 71 jeepster. Thanx in advance!

Bill:
Try posting on the Jeepster board. I've got the same situation and believe that Ford parts are needed to convert to 5 on 5 1/2. Gonna have a shop do it for me, but I believe dave is familiar with the parts needed if you post on the Jeepster board. The full time to part time hubs should be easy as I had a '76 Waggie converted to part time.
