need auto tranny for ...

ive got an 82 wagoneer with an AMC 360, and an AMC tranny. its a torque flite
727, and i cant locate another one... i know a dodge 727 fits, but the bell housing doesnt fit...anyone know where i can find one?

The TF727's in FSJ from 1980 on were indeed actually Chrysler TF727s! However, as you noted, bellhousing is different, so just mating "up" isn't exactly simple. Best bet is to scout the junkyards for a 80+ full size wagon(or maybe even pickup)...with same setup you've got. It's worth the search to find something as close as possible! Though, more 70s Jeeps are to be found, you now and then see an 80+!

You can also take your TF727 to a tranny shop and have them rebuild it....worth considering if you can't find one, at least!

someone posted an 82 wagon for sale...maybe check on that, depending on where you are! Fare well....

I have a friend who has one in a 82 with 360. he said it ran okay when he parked it, what would be a fair price??? Steve located in central Indiana
