A few questions about vacuum advance? Does the vacuum advance on my 401's distributor advance it for higher RPM's or low? What is the valve called that the other end of the vacuum advance attaches to? How does this valve work? Is this system adjustable? I am still having trouble with the engine pinging at higher RPM's under load when the engine is completely warmed up. High octane only helps a little bit. Any suggestions? I have already replaced the EGR valve.
