Owners Manual

Could anyone tell me where I might be able to get an owners manual for a 1979 Jeep Cherokee Chief? I recently bought this truck but it did not come with a manual. Thanks for any help.

Re: Owners Manual

I just found one!! They cost $75 at Jeep/Chrysler. They are very helpful!! I would deffinitely suggest mpaying the small price for the big reward. My Chilton manual goes about a third the way this thing does---get one!!

Re: Owners Manual

Ebay! I see them all the time for '79, usually around $10-$25.

Re: Owners Manual

I always go to the search and type in "jeep manual". You'll get evereything from manual steering boxes to service manuals, but it's usually only 4 pages worth.

Big difference between an "Owners manual" and a "Shop manual" ,,first one comes with every new vehicle (in the glove box) usually costs $20-30 for used these days and the "Shop manual" could run upwards of $80-100 (it's the big thick one that shows were ALL your widgets go to/plug into/how to dismantle etc.
