thanks for your input chris. i will be sure to check both plugs on the back of the engine before pulling the engine out to get to the 3rd one. to answer your question: it gushes out just as fast as i can pour it in, but i know the hoses and connections are tight. thanks again.

well, i dont know about the leak, but as far as the 4wd, those things are a bitch to switch into. on mine, i would put it in neutral, then grab the lever, switch in to four wheel drive, and then pull hard up towards the gas pedal to get it in 4wd, then as far as low would go, try pull it harder, just fidgit with it, they are a stubborn system, but they work.
