front dana 30 differential bearing bad

I have a bad front differential bearing on my 1993 zj. I have been doing research but cannot find any detail information on how to replace. I figure that all I have to to is remove the drive axles and use a bearing puller and reinstall the new ones with a make shift device which includes a large socket and a bar. I can't find if there is a seal with these. I don't believe there is. can anyone tell me more information on how to perform this task. I would like to save $ thank you.

Re: front dana 30 differential bearing bad

If the bearing is in the diff. you will also need to pull the carrier. The bearings are pressed onto the carrier. Also because you have a ZJ your question would be better addressed on the Mid-wheelbase board. This board is geared more twards SJ (Full size early Cherokees and Grand Waggy's) and J-truck owners.
