Cadillac Engine-82 Wagoneer Engine swap question

I just picked up 1.5 82 Jeep Wagoneers (for $200 :-)
One of them I was able to drive home, in 4 wheel low lock, because of front brake problems. The other is missing lots of body parts but has a complete drivetrain minus the engine.
I also have a 75 Cadillac Coupe deVille with a great 501 ci engine, just sitting in my garage that has been turned into a parade car (top has been removed and it's not a convertible)
I would like to put the Cadillac motor onto the Jeep transmission and then transplant a 1959 Rambler body onto the frame.

I know it all sounds rather stupid but sometimes you just gotta be stupid. My question is what would be the easiest way to adapt the Motor and Trans together? Is there an adapter plate or can I use a different Trans?

Re: Cadillac Engine-82 Wagoneer Engine swap question

The cadillac has a 400 turbo..as does the Jeep...take both trannys to a rebuild shop and have the output shaft of the jeep trans put into the caddy trans and bolt it to the transfer case minus the tail shaft housing...
