77 WAGGY WIRING FOR IGNITION MODULE?

JUMPED OVER FROM THE COMMANDO BOARD AND WAS WONDERING IF SOME ONE COULD TELL ME WHAT THE FOUR WIRES FROM THE IGNITION MODULE CONNECT TO? I PULLED AN ELECTRONIC 401 V8 FOR A SWAP AND MADE THE MISTAKE OF NOT MARKING THE WIRES OF THE HARNESS TO THE BACK SIDE OF THE FUSE PANEL.THERE ARE FOUR WIRES AND THE MOTOR IS OUT OF A 77. ANY HELP ON LOOKING AT THIS FOR ME WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.I HAVE LOOKED AT EVERYTHING ON ALL THE JEEP BOARDS AND CANNOT FIND THE RIGHT INFO I'M LOOKING FOR. COLORS TO COMPONENTS :COIL,IGNITION,GROUND?,CONSTANT 12V?I REALLY DONT KNOW THANKS ,NATE

Re: 77 WAGGY WIRING FOR IGNITION MODULE?

OK, assuming both the factory manual and my Chilton's are for the 401ci V-8 (they just say "V-8, 1975-79"), here's the colors/destinations. BLACK: ground (on 70s FSJs, this is a constant). GREEN: coil, negative side. WHITE: distibuter, female side of the plug. BLUE: distibuter, male side of the same plug. RED w/color stripe: switched power, although the Chilton's shows it tying into the "instrument cluster" fuse and the "transmission kickdown" (auto only) fuse. The wire also connects (thru a splice) to the positive side of the distributer, carb solonoid (if equipped), and the voltage regulator. Power should come from the "run" position of the ignition switch, although it should also be live in the "start" position as well.
