91 5.0 to 1960 willys wagon?

i am putting a 91 5.0 mpi from mustang into willys wagon w/t-18
i have many questions and am currently looking to learn from somebody elses experience if any one has done something similar please post and i'll start asking.... [img]images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img]

I put an '89 4.0L (modified) with the factory EFI, computer, emissions, and wiring into a '73 J-4000. I also used a GM SM420 4 speed and a Dana 20 t-case.

now im on flywheel.. my trans and starter need a 164 tooth ring gear...the mustang 5-speed is 157 teeth...i cant use my old flywheel 'cause the 5.0 is balanced different ...does anyone know if the 5.0 in ford trucks or broncos had the 164 tooth flywheel????? [img]images/graemlins/chair.gif[/img]

I cant answer your query Aaron but I invite you to drop over to teh SWB jeep forum on this very same BBS, and ask away.

I know there are several guys there running 5.0+T18, its a pretty common swap on teh shorter rigs.

in fact Ive got a buddy here in town running the same thing, Ill ask him what flywheel he has, I do remeber him saying it came from a truck, I cant recall the year, But Ill ask him.
