first disc brakes

Ayone know what year disc brakes appeared on Jeep pickups or Wagoneers? I am wanting to use axles from a Jeep pickup or Wagoneer under My 70 Commando and figured I might as well get a set that already has disc brakes. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Re: first disc brakes

I think they came out as an option in 1971 on the pickups and Wagoneers. (Maybe earlier, not sure.) They were standard equipment by 1976, since my (sold) 1976 Cherokee's owner's manual didn't mention drum brakes on the front AT ALL.
