Dana 44 Eight lug conversion

I am swapping a Dana 60 rear and trying to keep the full floater setup. The problem I have run into is changing the front dana 44 front end to that pattern. I have heard from many sources that dana 44 can in 5 on 5.5, 6 on 5.5, and 8 on 6.5. I know that the J-20 came with the 8 bolt pattern, and may go that way if I find a donor, but would preffer to convert from a newer truck for ease of parts availability. I would appreciate any info on other vehicles that came with this pattern and are disk brake, have lockable hubs(prferably like the wagoneer style), and will work with the wagoneer knuckles so I can keep my flat tops.
Thanks for any help,
