Heater HELP!

I posted a while ago with a few winter questions about my blower moter and block heater.
I think that the block heater I have doesn't work, but it hasn't really been cold enough yet to tell. I took the blower out of the jeep, cleaned it up and gave it some TLC. I get plenty of air now. BUT I don't get defrost air.

My GW is an 88 the heater controls are the kind with the slider not the buttons. I found what I think is the vac line that goes to the defrost duct vac motor just haning behind the dash. Can anyone tell me where the defrost duct vac motor is, and how to get to it to re attach this vac. And if it isn't a vac problem, and anyone tell me how to manually open this gate so that I get air at the windsheild.
Any help would be great, I already have a few hours invested in taking apart the dash and searching and trying ot fit my big self under there. And while I was at it I broke an Air conditioning duct and somehow serewed up the AC so it doesn't work. (I will fix the AC way later I won't need it for a while, BUT I NEED defrosters)

Re: Heater HELP!

your vacuume valve for defrost should be on heater assembly near the gas pedal...above your air conditioning ducts..sticks out about 3 inches...metal unit with the arm extending into the heater housing...pull arm for defrost.
