Should I partout a 83 J-truck?

I'm thinking about getting a 83 J-truck for a couple of parts for my CJ7 and then part out the rest of it. Is it a pain to part out a truck and how desirable are parts off this thing. Am I going to be stuck with this thing or will parts move easily? It has the 258, T177, 208 xfercase, D44 front, AMC20HD rear. I don't know if the body is salvagable or not. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Parts may move quicker if you put them on the internet and advertise them in the local paper (closest big city too) for a couple of weeks. You'll make back the cost for ad if you sell one or two parts. In the end of course you will still have to have the carcass hauled off. I am looking at the same thing with a 62 Wagoneer which is complete and restorable for a small fortune. Hate to part it out but have other things to spend that $$,$$$ on.

Post this to the <a href=">International Full-Size Jeep Association</a> website. They're among the most scavenging bunch I've met

Most people are looking for good front fenders with the flares still on them, a straight bed that's not rusted through, and a tailgate.

If you've got an open carrier and 3.31 gears in the AMC 20 rear, I'd buy those off of you. I might also be interested in a stock radio.
