Wagoneer Frame Body Swap

I would like to know if the full size Wagoneer (mid 80's to 91)shares a frame with any other vehicle, like for example a short wheel base Dodge truck, is there a 2WD frame that the body can be bolted to?

I don't know, either. IF you find out, please let me know. I need a front stabilizer for my J-4000, and the aftermarket doesn't list anything for the "wide track" J-series. Just Dodge and Ford "wide track"s.

Re: Wagoneer Frame Body Swap

Not sure about that. Jeep wasn't under the Chrysler name then. But here's another question along those lines -
How much alike are early and late Wagoneer frames?
Will a 63 body bolt to an 89 frame?

Re: Wagoneer Frame Body Swap

I don't know about 63 to 86...but I think if you measure them up...should fit...I put a 62 wagoneer body on a 67 (rolled)and bolted right up...I took 67 tub and put it on a 78 frame (bodyrusted)..and the frames looked the same...just make sure they are both 4 doors or 2 doors...body mounts are in same location..you will also have to change wiring...master cylinder..(may have to drill new holes) and possibly steering column. Also you may want to use the front clip and radiator support from the newer Wagoneer.
