I want to add an overdrive trans to my 91 Grand Wagoneer, any help on type or any mods.

there are no overdrive auto trans for AMC V8 that I am aware of..

But there is a company making bolt on electric OD's for AMC cased 727's. I just dont know it's name. I saw it in an AMX magazine.

I doubt it, most of those ad on over/underdrives are $1800+, then figure in driveshaft mods.

have to be ALOT of drivin to recoup that small gain.

and in 91 most of the Gwags had 2.72:1 gear ratios, I cant imagine the engine would be making enough power at the low rpms that+ an OD would creat to push its brick like self down the HIway!

thats just the bane of teh Full Sized Jeep owner, bad fuel economy.

you could buy the AA adapter plate and Flexplate for AM engine to GM transmission and get a 700R4, and make the case fit.
