\'79 J-10 for parts

I have a friend who would like to get rid of a 1979 J-10 pick-up for parts. I suppose it could be restored but there is some front end damage, surface rust, and no engine. Anyway, I would like to get some information for him to know how to advertise the truck. It came with a 360 and was a very nice pickup when new. It has some sort of screaming eagle emblem on the hood. I have not had a chance to look at the thing really well. What type of front and rear end would this truck have ?

dana 44s both ends, REALLY wide axles, about 65 inches WMS-WMS.

if its a 4speed tranny youve ghit gold, itll be a granny T18a, and a Dana 20 Tcase, its often overlooked because of the long input shaf,t but a core Ford T18 will give you the short shaft, and alot of spare parts to make that the shortest T18 availble, it has to be opened up to swap the shaft, but itll likely need bearings and seals anyway.

that sounds like a golkden eagle trim package, very desirable usually had all the options, should have the brush guard on teh front also ( if it wasnt damaged in the collision) they are worth a chunk to FSJ guys.

it better be CHEAP, if its an automatic, its a Quadra track, and then it better be even cheaper!
