QuadraTrac vaccuum hoses

I have a 1979 Jeep Cherokee Chief. I recently had (sloppy) engine/transmission work performed on my truck at a local shop. They had inadvertently bumped/removed the vacuum hoses that go from the pod in the transfer case to the Normal/Emergency switch in the glove box. They do not know how to properly connect them back. Neither do I. Can anyone tell me how these connect or where I can find out?

Re: QuadraTrac vaccuum hoses

There are no color stripes on any of those hoses. The mech. messed around with both ends (at the Transfer case and at the switch), trying to figure it out. Is there any way you could tell me the color/placement of hoses at both ends on your truck? I can then at least attempt to match hose for hose, giving it my own color code for future situations. Thanks for responding.

I'll check tonight after work. You might do a search in this forum because I think I answered this question eons ago. Can't remember what my answer was though.

Re: QuadraTrac vaccuum hoses

Ok, with the switch in it's nornmal position with the pins facing the left side of the vehicle, the center port is the vacuum source, the top is the normal drive and bottom is the lockout. I'm sure these are right, it was hard to see under there, but if you get the vacuum source right, it's just a matter of reversing the hoses top to bottom to see which one does the lockout.
