J-truck questions

I just bought 2 J-trucks, a `69 & `72. Both have the buick 350 V8`s and 3 speed floor shift manual trany`s ahead of what look like D20`s. Does anyone know what the transmissions are?

Re: J-truck questions

I believe they are Warner T-15's.

I know that a few Buick 350's were left over that found their way into '71's, but have never heard of one being in a '72. They were the optional engine to upgrade from the AMC 232 I-6 for years '69 & '70. They were replaced by the AMC 360 in '71, since AMC bought Jeep from Kaiser in mid '70.

I see from your location that we are nearly neighbors.

Re: J-truck questions

I once had a wagoneer titled as a '73, had the new AMC-style guages, the vin tag had a '72 date on it, and it had a buick 350 in it. Must of been one of the last 350 wags.
