Need your expertise on 78 Cherokee

Hi guys, thought I would get some info from you on a 78 Cherokee I saw for sale. All I know is that it is a 78, V8, auto, 4x4, 4 door. Can anyone tell me what possible motor, transmission and axles would be in it? I know it might not be definite, just need an idea. Thanks in advance.

Re: Need your expertise on 78 Cherokee

Most likely have the BW1339 Qudratrac for the T-case unit...very prominent between 74-79 behind the TH400's. Tif it's equipped with the 2.57.1 Low range unit, you will see a small lever on the side of the hump just under the driver's seat

If it is a QT unit, there will be no 4x4 shifter on the hump and an E-Drive switch centered in the back of the glove box
The 44's will prolly have 3.55 gears as well..
