CRV Upgrades?????

I just purchased a new CRV 4x4. Has anyone done or know of anyone that has done any wheel, tire, body or suspension modifications to make them a little more off road worthy?

I don't think you can do anything to make a CR-V anymore off road worthy one of the downfalls of unibody/no frame construction....might be fun to try though

Bset possible up grade would be to sell it and get some thing that would be a better start Jeep,Suzuki samari, Full size Blazer or Bronco you will be way ahead in the long run.

Re: CRV Upgrades?????

Hey MJGUY and STEELERFAN:
In case you didn't catch my username, I do have a very capable Rotary powered Sami but I also needed a roadworthy, roomier 4 door to tow behind my coach when we are not going somewhere to 4 wheel. I have already tricked up the horsepower on the CR-V and went to wider wheels and larger tires but would like to do more. I was looking for intelligent answers from anyone that might know of any after market equipment. If not I will most probably create a few tricks myself to make it a little more off-road worthy. Re: CRV Upgrades?????

chk www.hondasuv.com awhile back i know i saw a lifted crv there i think someone makes a lift kit for it just don't know who. i think the crv is a cool lil ride and wouldn't mind building one up. it will never be a serious off-roader but i think it would be fun to play w/ one

Buy a Zuk rolling chassis and cut out the suspension on the CRV, bolt the CRV body to the Zuk frame and you're all set... That'd be a bit of a suspension modification I'd reckon...
