70 Scout 1-ton upgrade and sale!
Well, here goes mod three... Since I haven't got the website up yet, I'll have to let y'all know... I've found a great set of 1-ton Chevy axles for my Scout... A month ago or so, I did the SOA for the Scout...then, a week and a half ago, I got a good deal (i.e. FREE) on 3/4-ton axles from a Dodge, which was great because of the flat-top knuckles (Those of you that don't know... the leaves get in the way of the steering after converting to SOA leaving me with the undesirable thought of creating a drag link with 1.5" bar and bending it). Well, today, while looking for some Chevy or Ford flat-top knuckles for my original Scout axles (long story) I came across these 1-ton axles... 4.56 gears and Detroits front and rear.
So, it's time for me to pass on some of my good fortune... As of now I have:
~~The original D-44's set up SOA for sale
~~The D-60 (4.10) and D-44 from the Dodge for sale... the D-60 is great, the D-44 has a busted pinion, but I'll give ya details if you want them.
Sooner or later I'll have time to get the website up and running, for now, I'm working on the Scout... hollar if you need more info and want to talk prices.
My Scout is like my website, I'm working on it. 79 IH ScoutII, Anything else is just a 4X4... 345, 1-ton axles, Detroits F/R. 99 F-350 SD, PowerStroke.
