Tranny...

In the morning when I start my Scout II for the drive to school, it is really hard to get out of first gear and then into second...(manual of course) I was wondering if this means there is something wrong, or if I am damaging it...Thanks...

Re: Tranny...

was it really cold that morning???
maybe when it looks like"ice age" outside, you should try thinner oil in the tranny... at least until it resembles "arabian night" a bit more....

Re: Tranny...

Check to see if there's water in th trans... it could be half froze since it winter- or even time for fresh fluid.......

Re: Tranny...

How many different liquids/fluids are there in a tranny? How many should I change and how do I change them?

Re: Tranny...

It depends on what trans u have An automaatic will take ATF ( automatic transmission fluid) and a manual trans will take 90 weight)

The best way to find out where drain plugs are and to change it would be to look in the manual- it ( and to find out how much fluid is needed)
