Carb Questions!!

I own a 75 Scout with a 74's 304 in it. What would be a good carb to get for it. I would like some extra power. I have heard things both bad and good about the 500 c.f.m Holley. I've also read that the 2100 MotorCraft Carb is good. Does anyone have a good carb they could recomend?

Re: Carb Questions!!

I have no personal experience but have read about this many times. The Holley 2300 500 cfm version is overkill for a stock 304. I would opt for the 350 cfm version of the 2300 instead, even if it is a bit more expensive which it may be. That is, unless you have ported heads, headers, aftermarket cam, etc. on your 304.
