I need a speedo gear drive for my 79 it has 345 with 727 auto not sure on Transfer Case I checked alot of different IH's and also some of the old jeeps and have not found one small enough to slide in, the only one I seem to find is one with to large a shaft on it. I have located 12 different abanded IH's in the area but all have to big shaft on the gear Please tell me where I could find one or just ideas. Also looking for auto hub for right front mine has went out and would like a new or used one. Right now I have a manual lock on it to get by but have to leave it locked in at all times or it clunks. Please help me!!

Re: help on 1979 traveler

That's a '79 Scout Traveler, not to be confused with the Travelall which was discontinued after the 1975 model year.

I would recommend calling a couple of the IH Scout vendors, like Super Scout Specialists, Anything Scout, A.T. Scouts, Scout M.A.D.ness, Light Line of Louisiana, etc. Some or all of those guys should have them.

The only seal that I know of right off hand that's not available is the upper liftgate seal, where it meets the top of the tailgate.

727 auto

I can't help you with your problem, but I was hoping you could help me with mine.... I'm in Australia and trying to fit a 727 to my '70 IH C1300 (travelall) but I'm having trouble trying to get an extension housing for the 727 which is short enough to allow room for the driveshaft to the divorced transfer case.....I was hoping you wouldn't mind describing how yours all fits together, maybe I might be able to import some parts from the states if I can locate something suitable for my needs.

Anyway, I hope you find the solution to your problem, as I know that there's nothing more frustrating than nor being able to find the right parts.
