help? IHC or jeep t-case?

i have a 72 scout II with a 258 cu in engine. i assume this means i have the jeep version of the t-18 transmission. my question is, do i have the IHC or jeep version dana 20 transfer case? i want to swap in a dana 300, which style do i need to get? the jeep ones are plentiful and cheaper. i would like to get the one that bolts up with out modification. is there some way i can check without dropping the t-case, it's my only truck and i only want to have to do it once.

Re: help? IHC or jeep t-case?

Teralow makes a 3.15:1 gearset for the dana 20. check http://www.teraflx.com/main/catalog/....htm#cat_low20 for more info. BTW, I believe your T18 is the IH version (with the longer input shaft).

Later,
Curt
